Ternyata dia anak yatim-piatu dan sang raja berkenan membawanya ke istana, mengangkatnya sebagai anak dan menjadikannya pangeran. Dialah Dastan, Sang Pangeran Persia. Lalu, layar melompat ke masa 15 tahun kemudian, ketika para pangeran yang telah tumbuh menjadi pria-pria perkasa itu menyerang kota suci Alamut.

Dengan mudah Alamut ditaklukkan dan Puteri Tamina yang cantik menjadi tawanan. Sepulang dari perang, Dastan menghadiahkan jubah doa hasil rampasan kepada ayah angkatnya, Raja Sharuman. Namun, ternyata jubah itu beracun dan sang raja tewas. Suasana langsung jadi kacau. Dastan diteriaki pembunuh dan dikejar. Bersama Puteri Tamina, Dastan melarikan diri. Petualangan pun dimulai. Dua orang yang awalnya bermusuhan itu sedikit demi sedikit saling mengenal. Hingga akhirnya sang puteri membantu Dastan mengungkap kebenaran, siapa yang telah meracuni jubah itu?
